Mountain Education Charter High School (Bowman)
Mountain Education Charter High School is a self-paced, public high school that grants regular Georgia High School Diplomas through afternoon and evening classes. Serving a population of full-time and part-time students with a self-paced and mastery-based curriculum, students progress through the course at their own pace, taking as much or as little time to satisfactorily complete the various course modules as is needed. As a result, no failing grades are given and students work until they pass.
The Bowman Campus is one of 18 sites throughout North Georgia serving Grades 9-12, open year-round, with classes in the afternoon and evening, Monday-Thursday, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Credit recovery is available for students who have failed a course at their regular daytime school. Making up failed courses permits students to stay on track academically and graduate on time with their class. Students may also complete courses they are not able to fit into their schedule at their regular school.
