The Development Authority of Elbert County, Elberton and Bowman works hard to attract new business and industry into the area and offers support to existing businesses so that they will continue to succeed and grow. The Development Authority offers industry a modern 120-acre industrial park strategically located just off Highway 72 connecting Elberton to Athens and Atlanta. A significant investment was made on developing the infrastructure of the park to get a "world class industrial park." The industrial park is fully served with roads built to the highest standards, as well as complete underground facilities including water, sewer, electricity, natural gas, and fiber optic cable. The industrial park currently is home to three industries, bringing a variety of services and products to the area.
