Synopsis: Always, Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death.

The musical play, complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight - 27 songs in all! The show's title was inspired by Cline's letters to Seger, "Love, Always... Patsy Cline."

Sixth and Seventh grade girls will compete for 6th Grade Representative and 7th Grade Representative, respectively. Only 8th grade girls will compete for the title, Miss ECMS. The pageant will be a fundraiser for the Middle School, as well as other non-profit organizations.

- Miss ECMS will receive a $300 scholarship.

- 6th and 7th Grade Representatives will each receive a $150 scholarship.

- Scholarships will be awarded upon graduation from high school.

- Runners up will also be named for each class.

- Miss ECMS Spirit Award is a $100 cash award given to whomever raises the most money in ad sales.

- People’s Choice Winner will be chosen by the audience on the night of the pageant.

This pageant is NOT a popularity or beauty contest. The competitors will be judged on their poise, personality, school involvement, scholastic honors, and community involvement. There will be three phases of competition. ALL contestants will compete in Interview, Casual Wear, and Evening Gown. The highest combined scorers from those three areas of competition will be named the winners. The decision of the judges is final and is not in any way influenced by those directing the pageant.

Each contestant will participate in a five-minute interview on the Saturday afternoon of the pageant. Interview times will be assigned after the application deadline and will be given to you during the week of the pageant. The interview score will count for 40% of the overall score. Attire should be professional. A business suit is not required. The judges will be very friendly and will mostly ask you questions about yourself. Examples are: “What do you like to do in your free time?” or “What is your favorite thing about middle school?”

Casual Wear:

Casual wear will count for 20% of the overall score. It should be an outfit that reflects your personality and personal style. The most important thing to remember is the outfit should be age appropriate and fit well. Also remember to choose shoes that will be easy to walk in on stage.
